Juraj Čižmarovič´s new CD: Pfitzner, Wagner...

Violinist Juraj Čižmarovič plays two rarity concertos on his new CD – pieces by Hans Pfitzner and Siegfried Wagner. Two forgotten gems of the German post-romantic music are accompanied by Richard Wagners Träume in A flat Major – composer´s instrumentation of the last song from the famous cycle Mathilde Wesendonck Songs. CD Romantic Violin Concertos has been released in Coviello Classics, with WDR Rundfunkorchester Köln and conductor Marcus Bosch.

Juraj Čižmarovič is one of the most distinguished Slovak violinists. He is the first concertmaster of the WDR Rundfunkorchester Köln and concertmaster of the Bayreuth Festival Orchestra. Besides his solo career he dovotes himself to chamber music and conducting.
